About the Author

Shannon Bennett is one of Australia’s most acclaimed restaurateurs. He is the owner–chef of Café Vue, Bistro Vue and the multi-award winning Vue de monde, relocated in 2011 to the top of Melbourne’s iconic Rialto building. Shannon’s philosophy is to provide a theatrical dining experience, something he achieves through his dedication to sourcing rare ingredients, his uncompromising approach to classical techniques and his commitment to providing the best restaurant service. An accomplished author, Shannon has written the best-selling cookbooks My Vue and My French Vue, as well as Shannon Bennett’s New York and Shannon Bennett’s France.

Scott Murray is a filmmaker, author and Shannon’s travelling buddy. He was the co-founder and long-standing editor of Cinema Papers and the director of Devil in the Flesh, which was selected for the Cannes International Film Festival in 1986. He has written extensively on world cinema and has edited several books on Australian cinema. He also co-wrote Shannon Bennett’s New York and Shannon Bennett’s France.
