About the Author

Michael Roberts is a journalist, author and sports historian. He's written or edited around a dozen books, the most recent being The Barrackers Are Shouting- Stories of Collingwood From the Grandstand, and 50 Years of Australian Television. His favourite sporting moments were watching Collingwood win the 1990 Premiership, cheering on the Socceroos as they beat Japan at the World Cup in Germany and going crazy in Bay 13 over Dennis Lillee's last-ball dismissal of Viv Richards at the 'G in 1981/82.

Michael Tormey is a sports journalist whose favourite sporting memory revolves around the circumstances that led him to be sharing a drunken hug with his old man at three in the morning after the 1996 AFL Grand Final.
