About this Title

A superb hand-bound limited edition with plates in their original colour never before reproduced.

Matthew Baillie’s pioneer work (1799) established anatomical pathology as an independent science. This singular edition is a perfect facsimile of the unique copy which belonged personally to Baillie’s illustrator, William Clift FRS, into which he had mounted many of his own superb original coloured drawings.

The volume is accompanied by a separate commentary on bibliography and pathology by Professor Harold Attwood.

Edition limited to 520 numbered copies, hand-bound in Zamorin lamb leather. The printing plates have been destroyed. This opportunity will never come again.
